GlycoMar is producing a range of mucins, proteoglycans, and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) from marine invertebrates in purified gram quantities.
Mucins are under evaluation for potential anti-inflammatory activity through their inhibition of leukocyte recruitment.
Glycosaminoglycans include novel heparins, heparan sulphates, chondroitin sulphates, and dermatan sulphates. GAGs are under evaluation for potential anti-inflammatory activity through their inhibition of leukocyte recruitment.
Oligosaccharides are produced by chemcial and enzymatic depolymerisation of selected GAGs.
