GlycoMar is a newly formed company (February 2005) supplying and developing
glycobiology products
from marine invertebrates. These products have applications in
human medicine, as therapeutics and diagnostics, and as research
biochemicals.
GlycoMar has been founded
by Dr. Charlie Bavington, and funded by private investment. Dr.
Bavington is a biochemist
with over 10 years experience in marine natural products research and
development.
Location
GlycoMar is
located within the European Centre for Marine Biotechnology (http://www.ecmb.org),
near Oban, Scotland (see contact us for
map). This is a newly built incubator that provides excellent
facilities
for marine biotechnology companies, and direct access to waters
off the West coast of Scotland.
